In order to build your business you will need to promote SFI and TripleClicks to people. Remember that you promote SFI to people who are looking to start a home business and you promote TripleClicks to people who are just looking for bargains. In your SFI affiliate center you have access to a number of resources to promote your business in the form of affiliate websites, banners, text ads and so on. In this lesson I will show you how to use these resources.
Log into your affiliate center and select “Gateway List” from the “Reference” menu. This page contains a list of affiliate websites we can use to promote various sections of SFI and TripleClicks. The screenshot below shows a list of affiliate websites (also known as gateways) that we can use.
Each gateway website has a screenshot and an affiliate link. The affiliate link contains your personal SFI ID and looks something like this.
On your gateway page the “12345678” will be replaced with your SFI ID. SFI makes life easier by embedding all affiliate links with your SFI ID so you can simply copy and paste them wherever you are promoting them. Notice the word “FREE” at the end of the link. This tells us what website we are promoting. In this case it is the “FREE” gateway website which you will find on the top of your gateways page. Look at the other websites on the gateway page and you will see they all include your SFI ID.
Three websites on this page are used to promote SFI only and are named Free, Invitation and First. The rest are for the main TripleClicks website and parts of TripleClicks such as Pricebenders. You can even promote individual products such as TCredits Pack and other items which you will find on this page under the heading “DIRECT SALES GATEWAYS”. When someone clicks through these gateway websites SFI records you as the referring affiliate and you get the team member or customer.
Marketing use tracking tools to see where their visitors are coming from. SFI includes a useful tool which allows you to use a number to identify where a click on your gateway page has come from. For example you could use the number 12 for traffic exchanges and the number 20 for blogs. For more information on how you can use keycode tracking click here. SFI provides many methods of promoting along with the resources to promote with. To see a list of what SFI has to offer select “INDEX” from the “Marketing” menu. You should be looking at the page below.
The first two links on the page teaches various methods for promoting SFI and TripleClicks. In the description you get a link to the index of marketing aids for both websites. Let’s see the marketing aids for generating TripleClicks (TC) sales, click here to visit the following page.
This page links to all the resources you can use to promote TripleClicks. Notice that your main TripleClicks gateway website is first on the page and it has your SFI ID embedded in it? Now you can copy it and post it wherever you want to promote it.
Electronic cards are great for promoting TripleClicks through email. The cards are specially designed to promote both SFI and TripleClicks and contain professional sales messages, which is useful for people who are not very good salespersons. You simply select the card you want, add a short message to the person you are emailing and then send it. Your TripleClicks gateway website URL will be added to the message so the recipient can click on it to visit your website.
X-Cards are professionally designed business cards that you can carry around with you. They are useful for offline promotion such as passing onto an interested friend or family member, leaving in the doctor’s waiting room or on a bus or train. Just simply write your SFI ID on it which is needed for people to sign up for their free membership. Once someone becomes a member they will be entitled to a free listing on TripleClicks which would normally cost them one TCredit. Note that you are responsible for this free promotion so SFI will automatically deduct the TCredit from you instead.
You can purchase X-Cards from TripleClicks in packs of 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000. If you are going to buy them regularly then I recommend you add them to your standing order.
Text ads are short sales messages that can promote TripleClicks in many ways. One idea would be to use them as an email signature like this.

There are many advertising resources that allow you to place text ads such as Text Ad Exchanges which you can find by typing “text ad exchanges” into a search engine. You can even add them on your blog or get a banner printed for your car. You can even use them on social networking websites but you will have to be careful as some of them consider it spamming. Try using a business one such as Bizoppers.
Banners are smaller images with a design on them and come in various sizes with the most used ones being 468×60. If you have a website or blog you can display a banner on it by copying the HTML code from the banner page and inserting it into your blog. You can also add them to banner exchanges such as the popular Bucket of Banners or in your favorite traffic exchanges. Note you will have to separate the banner URLs from the HTML code to do this.
Highlighting and copying this HTML code into your blog is easy enough but banner and traffic exchanges prefer you to submit two different URLS. One is known as the “Image URL” which is the actual banner itself and the other is known as the “Target URL” which is the actual gateway URL. If you wanted to add this banner to an exchange that asks for separate URLS then you would add these.

These are the main resources you would use to promote your Tripleclicks website but if you want more then the Marketing Aids page contains more ideas such as splash pages which are images you can add to your own website and use HTML code to point them to your main TripleClicks website. There are also flyers which you can print out and post through doors or ask your local shopkeeper to keep a pile on his or her counter for customers to take. You can even get signs to stick on your car.
There is a similar page which provides a list of resources to promote the SFI business opportunity which you can find here. The extra resource on this page is sample phone scripts that you can use if you feel confident on the phone enough to speak to new team members.
You now have all the resources you need to promote both SFI and TripleClicks. On this page you will see other methods of promotion you can use in the form of Gift Cards which new members can redeem $12 worth of items from TripleClicks and the Pricebenders auction where people can win items. There is also the ECA opportunity where vendors can set up their own online store on TripleClicks and sell their products.
TripleClicks is an online store which is home to thousands of great products at bargain prices. The products on offer cover many categories such as arts and craft, books, business, computers, digital downloads, home and garden, education, electronics and many more. What makes TripleClicks unique is that it sells products that you are most unlikely to find elsewhere. The reason for this is that it gives all unknown companies and individuals the opportunity to sell their product online. People can also use the website to sell unwanted items from their own home and make money.
In this lesson I am going to teach you how to get started with TripleClicks. Log into the TripleClicks Websitewith your SFI (or TripleClicks if you are not a member of SFI) ID and password and you will see a similar screenshot to the one below.
The home page gives you the latest information at a glance such as items on offer at the auction and the deal of the day. You can also access the latest Hot Deals and Closeouts where ECAs (Vendors) offer their products at a large discount for a few days. The green menu bar at the top will allow you to navigate to various sections of the website by clicking on the green links, and you can search for any items you are looking for in the search box underneath the links.
In the top left hand corner you get general information about your account such as the number of TCredits and MRP (Member Reward Points) that you have. Clicking on the “DEALS” link will inform you of the latest deals on offer as you will have guessed. There are three small sections of interest which are MUSIC, GAMES and REWARDS which are mainly for entertainment and free stuff. In the games section you will find the Wave3section which you can join for free TCredits and MRP.
PRICEBENDERS AUCTION CENTER
There are some amazing bargains to be picked up at the Auction Center where items can easily go for up to a staggering 90% off their retail price. Auctions are quite regular with various items such as the one featured in the screenshot below. You can also win CSAs and TCredits which come in large quantities. You can see what auctions are available by clicking on the “AUCTIONS” link. If there is one in progress then you can join in by clicking the “BID NOW” button or you can request to be reminded when one starts.
Each bid will cost one TCredit so it is recommended you buy a pack of them because the bigger the pack the cheaper each TCredit will cost you. Each bid will earn you five MRP which can be redeemed for purchases at the store. TCredits can be purchased here for a reasonable price. The screenshot below shows an example auction in progress.
In the top right hand corner you can see how many TCredits you have left with an option to quickly buy some more if you are running low. Clicking on the “BID NOW” button will place your bid and restart the timer to between 1-5 minutes. Once the timer reaches zero you will see messages telling you that the item is going once, going twice… If nobody else bids and you are the highest bidder then you will win the auction. You can learn more about the auction by clicking on the “How It Works” and “Tips For Winning” links in the top left hand corner. Here are some useful tips for playing.
Bidding at the start of an auction is a waste of TCredits as many players are bidding against you. Keep an eye on the Bid Log in the bottom right hand corner of the screen and wait until less people are bidding.
The auto-bidder can be used to carry on the bidding if you need to leave the computer during an auction but you have to be careful as you could lose a lot of TCredits.
Auctions can go on for ages so be prepared to be there for a considerable amount of time. Patience is the key to winning auctions. Use the auto-bidder if you need to leave the computer for a while.
Consider bidding for low-value items to start with. They are easier to win than the bigger items and it gives you the opportunity to practice your bidding strategies.
EARNING SALES VP
In the previous lesson you learned about Action VP and Sales VP. You need a combination of both to become a team leader and gain the extra benefits. For example you need to earn a minimum of 1500 and a maximum of 2000 Sales VP and 1000 Action VP to become a Bronze Team Leader. Sales VP can be earned from your own purchases or your downline team and customer purchases.
Click on the “PRODUCTS” link and you will see a list of categories on the left hand side. Many of these categories will display a menu leading to sub-categories. Clicking on a category will list all the items found in that category. You can also use the search bar at the top to find items you are looking for. For an example I will show you how to purchase TCredits. Click on the “TCredits” link from the list of categories and you will be presented with the following page.
Clicking on the name of an item will give you more information on it or you can purchase the item by clicking on the “ADD TO CART” button. Each item you buy will earn you some Sales VP and you will earn commission if one of your PSAs or CSAs buys it. To learn more about what you get paid click here to go to the SFI Compensation Plan.
BECOMING AN EA2
Each time you qualify as an EA after your first month you become an EA2. This qualifies you to receive two CSAs and shares in the TripleClicks Pool. CSAs are Co-Sponsored Affiliates which means they have a main sponsor and a co-sponsor. To their main sponsor they are known as PSAs (Personally Sponsored Affiliates) and to their co-sponsor they are CSAs. As a co-sponsor you get a percentage of the commission generated from the purchases of your CSA. You will continue to receive two CSAs and shares in the TripleClicks Pool for each month you qualify as an EA2. To learn more about becoming an EA click here.
You can easily qualify for EA2 status every month by purchasing items up to the value of 1500 VP but what happens if you forget one month? Once you are an EA2 you will get two CSAs a month which you keep but if you don’t qualify one month you will lose them all and they will get re-assigned to other affiliates. The best way to automatically re-qualify as an EA2 each month is to set up a standing order for items worth 1500 VP or more which will automatically re-qualify you on the 10th of each month.
The cheapest option to qualify as an EA is to subscribe to TCredits Pack. This contains a wealth of knowledge which will be valuable to your business. You can check out a free sample here. Another option is to purchase a TCredit Pack which can be used to purchase many items at the TripleClicks store whenever you want them. I personally subscribe to this pack which gives me 125 TCredits a month which saves me a grand total of $16.25 To add an item to a standing order, just click on the green button.
A standing order requires a debit or credit card but there are other methods of payment such as PayPal which you can use to purchase items. You can also pay with MRP, TCredits and any commissions you have earned. Another popular payment method is to apply for a TripleClicks Pre-Paid MasterCard which is useful for people who don’t have a credit card or PayPal account. Currently TripleClicks do not inform you when you have received any sales but they will turn up on your TC Sales Report which you can access here or by selecting “My Reports/TC Sales Report” from the “My Acct” menu in your affiliate center. This report will also show you your own purchases as well as any purchases made by your CSAs. I recommend you check this report on a regular basis.
Whether you have a product of your own to sell or you just want to sell off a few unwanted items from your home TripleClicks can help. As a member of TripleClicks you get your own TConnect Center where you can add list items with descriptions and pictures along with a price of your choosing and it will be accessible to thousands of TripleClicks customers once approved. The cost of selling an unwanted item is just one TCredit and it can be anything such as books, games, toys, computers etc… For more information on selling unwanted items click here. Items will be displayed for as long as you wish.
When you add your description you should provide as much information as possible. Consider what questions someone would ask if they were looking for a particular product. For example if you were looking for a book on gardening you may be looking for certain information, in which case you would mention what subjects your book on gardening teaches. You are allowed to add up to three screenshots of your product so make sure they look attractive. For example, for a computer game you could use the main picture of the game cover and another one of the game itself.
BECOMING AN ECA
If you sell your own product or you are a retailer who buys and sells certain products then your best option is to become an ECA (E-Commerce Associate). As an ECA you can list your products for free on TripleClicks and they will be displayed for as long as you wish. TripleClicks retains a nominal amount only when you make a sale. There are over one million affiliates in SFI promoting and selling Tripleclicks products in over 20,000 cities in over 190 countries so the benefits are great. You can apply for your free ECA account by clicking hereand your account will be approved soon. Note, you do not have to submit a website during the sign up process. This is optional.
Once your product is listed it becomes accessible to thousands of TripleClicks customers as well as on blog websites of many SFI affiliates who choose to promote it. TripleClicks take care of collecting the payments and will pay you your share once you inform them you have shipped the product.
Each product listing displays various information such as a general description, a main screenshot, reviews of your product submitted by your customers, shipping information and returns and refunds. Customers also get to see how many VP and MRP they can earn when they buy the product. There is also a tab for SFI affiliates with information on how they can promote your product and benefit from it in the form of commission and Sales VP. Here is a screenshot of the SFI Affiliates section for TCredits -125 pack.
The SFI Affiliates are provided with two URLs. One is a direct link to your product and the other is a link to your TConnect page where customers can learn more about you and see all your products. You may not make as much money if your product is sold through an affiliate but you will get more sales which will turn out to be more beneficial to you.
Whenever you perform a task or purchase a product you earn versapoints (often referred to as VP) which help you create your rank as an affiliate and gain higher percentages and bonuses. For example, earning a total of 1500 VP will promote you to the rank of Executive Affiliate (EA) while earning a total of 3000 VP will earn you the higher rank of a Bronze Team Leader. There are two types of VP: Sales and Action. You earn Sales VP when you purchase items or make sales and you earn Action VP for performing various tasks such as reviewing the ten tabs in the affiliate center or sending group mail to your downline team.
In this lesson we will learn how to earn a regular ten Action VP per day. Log in to your SFI affiliate center which brings you to the home page. Under the menu bar you will see a row of twelve tabs, ten of them are highlighted in red. SFI recommends you review these sections of SFI daily and confirm you have done so by clicking on a button at the bottom of each page. Notice the screenshot below displaying the twelve tabs on the home page. I will take you through each tab and give a short explanation for each one.
This is a general information section that gives you instant access to your total VP earned (both action and sales combined), the latest SFI news to keep you up to date with any new additions and improvements to SFI you may need to know about, and the latest posts from the SFI Forum.
This section gives you a list of daily, weekly and monthly actions along with other actions you can perform to earn some VP. There are links pointing to each section that you need to visit in order to perform each task required of you. Each task has a type which is S (for Sales VP) or A (for Action VP).
This section just offers general tips from other SFI affiliates. Worth reading as you can learn some useful knowledge which you can apply in your own business.
In this section you can submit a short message to your team and read messages from people in your upline team (people who are your sponsors). Useful for sending brief messages.
Learn about the latest deals going on at TripleClicks including the Pricebenders auctions where you can bid for some amazing deals. TripleClicks will be covered in detail in a later lesson.
The scoreboard gives you all the general information you need on how many VP you have earned along with how much money you have earned up to now. You will also learn how many VP you need to qualify as a Team Leader which gives you extra bonuses.
A2A (AFFILIATE TO AFFILIATE)
In this section you can connect with other SFI Affiliates and send messages to each other. This is great for building a few SFI contacts and making new friends.
This is where you can see which of your downline team members have been logging into their affiliate center in the last few days. These people are known as Movers because they regularly make an effort to log in so they are more interested in SFI than your other members.
The Global Growth Report gives you a general report on how SFI is growing which includes new members, how many from each country and so on. Becoming an EA allows you to share in part of that growth as you can receive shares in the TripleClicks Executive Pool as well as two bonus CSAs each month.
Setting yourself a goal means making a note of what you are hoping to achieve in the current month and this section allows you to write down various goals. For example, you could say you aim to sponsor ten new affiliates this month and this section will inform you when you have reached that goal. Setting goals helps you to increase your intention to succeed in your business. If you have completed your Affiliate Profile then your long-term goals will be displayed here. Your long-term goals are what you hope to get from your work in the future such as early retirement or a nice home.

This is where the SFI Community asks questions about SFI and other members answer them. You can earn one VP and an entry into the Daily Grand draw just for voting for the best answers.
This is where you can enter the Daily Draw and win prizes such as TCredits, CSAs and Versapoints. You get one entry per day but you can earn extra entries by participating in the Ask SC section.
Out of the twelve sections only ten allow you to earn one VP. In order to earn each VP you must click on each tab that is highlighted in blue. Then scroll down to the bottom of that page and you will see a button that looks like this.
During testing I noticed that the button does not appear faded in Firefox but it works ok in Chrome. If you notice that the button is like the screenshot above then don’t worry. It will still work after a few seconds even if it never changes.
EARNING VP AT TRIPLECLICKS
Most of the VP you will earn at TripleClicks are the Sales VP which you can earn from either purchasing products for yourself or from sales generated from your downline team or Tripleclicks customers. You can learn more about TripleClicks in the next lesson. In the meantime you can learn how to earn Action VP from various tasks you can perform.
Create a Standing Order: If you want to receive a product monthly then you can set up a standing order which will give you a bonus of 100 VP.
Bidding at Pricebenders: You can earn up to 500 VP just for bidding on various items.
Reviewing Purchases Products: Each time you buy a product from TripleClicks you will receive an email asking you to submit a short review. You can earn 25 VP for each review.

The VP you earned for the previous month will be reset to zero at the start of each new month. The VP you earned will be calculated and converted to commission (for Sales VP) and rank (for Action VP). It is important to know that you will not be paid any commission for Action VP only or for Sales VP earned by your own purchases. In order to be paid you must get sales from customers or your downline team. It stands to reason that SFI needs to receive money in order to pay you commission.
If you are a new member it is possible to achieve EA status and the rank of Silver Team Leader in your first month as more Action VP is offered for completing the 30 steps of the Launchpad as well as reading various articles and performing other tasks. From your second month onwards you will need to earn Sales VP from personal and customer purchases to qualify as an EA2 for each month and you will need to earn at least 1000 Action VP to become a Team Leader for each month. Therefore you may find that it can take a few months before you are earning enough Action VP to become a Team Leader.
I hope all this hasn’t put you off SFI but you must remember that this is a real business and must be treated like one. All other business opportunities require the time and effort to become profitable as well. But do not worry, once you have finished this module then you’ll soon be earning money.
The SFI affiliate center is your personal virtual office where you can gain access to all the tools and reports you need. In this lesson I will take you on a guided tour of the affiliate center and show you how to set everything up. You will also learn about taking the 30 day Launchpad course and the Ultra Simple Plan which is part of the free training that SFI provides you with. The screenshot below shows the top menu bar area of SFI which we are going to learn about first.
In the top right hand corner is your profile picture (which we will add later) and other information such as current rank (in this example: Executive Affiliate), total VP (Versapoints) for the current month and in total. A link to your sponsor’s details and one to your Messages Manager. If you are a new affiliate then you will already have a new message from your sponsor in your inbox. Take some time to read this by clicking on the link that says “1 messages, (1 unread)”.
Looking back at the screenshot above we can see a black menu bar stretched across the screen that lists the heading of the main menus such as HOME, HOT SPOTS and INCOME. Most of these will reveal a drop down menu as you can see in the screenshot above where I have selected the “My Acct” menu. This menu contains everything you need to set up your account as well as all the reports you will need. If you select “Account Info” from this menu then you can change various information such as your personal details and how you wish to receive your commissions. You may want to do this now.
Each time you enter a menu you can always return to the main page by clicking on “HOME” in the menu bar. You will notice that the first item in the menu is “INDEX”. Clicking on this will give you a list of the sections in that menu along with an explanation of what each one is about. Once you get used to the menu system you will probably not bother with the index pages and just select the option you want from each of the drop down menus. On the home page the “Alerts” section will tell you what you need to do if you haven’t already done it.
SETTING UP YOUR SFI ACCOUNT
Select “INDEX” from the “My Account” menu to bring up the index page. You will see the screenshot below which displays a list of sections as well as a description of what to find there.
Click on the blue links to be taken to each page and see what’s on it. Remember you can always return to the home page by clicking on the “HOME” button. Right now we need to continue setting up the account so click on the “Miscellaneous Account Options” link and the following page will be displayed.
Your first step is to add a picture of yourself to your profile so your downline affiliates know what you look like. Click on the “Add/Update My Photo” link and follow the instructions to upload your photo. Choose a passport type folder like the one of me in the screenshot above.
Next you need to add your personal PSA (Personally Sponsored Affiliate) and CSA (Co-Sponsored Affiliate) greeting. When a PSA or CSA joins your team they will receive a welcome message from you as their sponsor in their Messages Manager. All you need is a short welcome message with directions on what they should do next. Here is an example.

Welcome to SFI. My name is (your name) and I am your sponsor. I am here to answer any questions you may have and to help you build your SFI business. Your first step is to visit the page below and learn the basics. Or click the START button at the top of the screen.
The next step is to follow the steps of the launchpad. You can follow all steps today or over 30 days. This will teach you everything you need to know to get started.

Your Email Address
When you receive a new affiliate you will get their email address in their profile. I recommend you send this message to them as an email as well in case they don’t log in to the affiliate center straight away.
You can also consider writing a best tip for your new affiliates which they will see on your personal affiliate page. You can use this space to share what you personally do to build your business such as write a blog, use traffic exchanges and so on.
I suggest you read the Instructions for Whitelisting SFI’s email address to make sure that email from SFI does not end up in your spam folder. If you use Gmail then you should have no problem as they are not as strict with email as other companies such as hotmail are. Also check out the Payment and Commission Collection page for a list of ways you can purchase products and collect your commissions. If you decide to leave SFI then you can select the Opt Out option but I urge you to give it time and not give up.
Return to the home page by clicking on the “HOME” button on the menu bar. There are three buttons on top under your profile picture: START, SFI BASICS and LAUNCHPAD. Click on each one in turn and read the information I have described below.
This section gives you simple instructions to get started as well as a short tutorial video of the affiliate center. You will also find links to the Ultra Simple Plan as well as other sections.
This covers the basic four things you need to do in order to make money in SFI such as generating versapoints, generating sales at Tripleclicks and sponsoring and duplication.
This is a step by step 30 day training course which will teach you everything you need to know. You will need to take a multi-choice quiz and choose the correct answer to move onto the next lesson.
HELP AND SUPPORT
SFI provides a lot of help and support in the form of live chat, a helpdesk, many faqs, free articles, a complete training section and a forum where you can ask questions to other affiliates. Select “INDEX” from the “Support” menu and you will have the option to read the many faqs or submit a ticket. You can also email your sponsor and co-sponsor for help from this page.
This module will teach you all the basics you need to know. For more information you should visit the training page which will give you access to a lot of useful information. Select “INDEX” from the “Training” menu to see the all the information on offer.
There seems to be a lot of options in the menu but in reality a lot of them point to the same pages so it is not as overwhelming as it seems. Concentrate on working though this module first then later you can take your time exploring the other sections and what they do.
Introduction to Strong Future International[ SFI ] & TripleClicks
SFI is a company that has been helping millions of people from all over the world to start up their own home business since 1998. They provide the training, marketing tools, customer service and the products leaving affiliates with the single task of referring new affiliates and customers to them. No need to be concerned about doing everything from scratch such as finding a product to sell, what price to set, how to deliver all over the world, which payment options to offer and so on. SFI has given you a home business in a box and all you need to do is promote it.
If you want more information about SFI then click here for a general overview. Notice that they provide their address, phone number and a support center for people who want to contact them with any further questions. You will soon find out that SFI gives you full support in the form of phone and email contact as well as a support forum, a personal sponsor and step by step training. You also have this tutorial which has been written to take you step by step through the basics.
SFI comes in the form of two websites. The affiliate center which is your virtual office and TripleClicks which is home to the entire product line. The affiliate center provides you with everything you need to run your new SFI business such as affiliate websites and access to various reports. TripleClicks is a virtual shopping store like Amazon which offers thousands of products that you can earn a commission from. The great thing about separating the two websites is that you can offer people the choice of a business opportunity or an online store with many products and bargains.
The screenshot below shows you the SFI affiliate center. Every SFI affiliate receives access to their own personal affiliate center with all their information including the marketing tools embedded with their own personal SFI ID in the form of a number. Access to each section can be reached via the drop down menus at the top as well as quick and easy access to main reports and information separated by tabs.
At first glance everything may seem overwhelming with too many menu options but it actually isn’t. Most of the options points to various pages of interest but you will quickly find that there are only a few pages you actually need regular access to. These pages are your reports and your message center. In this module I am going to be taking you through the main areas you need to know about so you can focus on getting started and leave the other features until later.

As the old saying goes “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure.” Customers need to purchase TCredits for this which earns you a commission. GET RICH QUICK SCHEMES
When you search the Internet for “work from home opportunities” you will come across many websites that will try to convince you to buy their “amazing formula” which is “guaranteed” to make you rich within a short time with very little effort. These websites use pictures of fancy looking homes with a swimming pool and a top of the range sports car to ignite the desire within us to own these luxuries. It is followed by a long-winded story of how the webmaster went from rags to riches and how you can too.
The cold harsh truth is that there is no genuine way to make millions overnight unless you know how to pull off some professional scam. But there are people looking for fast track wealth solutions in the hope of becoming rich quickly so they can pay off their mounting debts and buy everything they want. These people are targets for the scammers who set up these “get rich quick” websites who blind them with lies and false promises.
THE CORRECT MINDSET
Before you can become successful in anything you need to have the correct mindset. Your mindset is your general attitude to whatever you want to do. Most people who look for get rich quick schemes online hold the attitude that they want as much money as possible with as little effort as possible because they are lazy and impatience. This is a negative mindset and often results in these people piling up large debts buying every “magical money-making formula” that they can get their hands on.
Before you proceed with these lessons it is important that you know what is expected of you in order to succeed as an Internet Marketer. You need to accept that earning the big money online is going to take time and effort on your part and there is no guarantee that every effort you make is going to succeed for you. In your role as an Internet Marketer you will be performing regular tasks such as recruiting, supporting new customers and team members.
A home business should be treated as a real business, not some online work from home scheme where you get paid for stuffing envelopes or assembling toys. You are expected to get customers and you only get paid from any sales you personally get. You do not get a regular salary. You are working for yourself and therefore all responsibility is on you. You may be expected to put some money into your business and if so – then you must be prepared for the possibility of making a loss.
So in general you need to accept that it takes time to build a profitable home business which can take (on average) anything between six months and five years. You need to be patience and keep trying to build your business even if you are making very little or no profit. You must be willing to believe in yourself and keep a positive attitude as there will be times when you face disappointment and feel like giving it all up. Remind yourself why you are doing it and convince yourself that one day you will become successful.
Running your home business can be so much easier if you take the time to organize everything. For example you may want to set up a new email address for business use and work out a budget that you can comfortably afford to invest in your new business. You may also consider the most suitable hours you can work that fit around your other commitments. Whatever you need to do it is best if you take the time to decide how you are going to do it. Make a daily planner and write down what you are going to do and set yourself goals on achieving those tasks. Here is an example list of things you will need.
Business Email Address: You will find yourself signing up for many services such as marketing tools and advertising resources. There are many services on the Internet that you can use to help you with the running of your business and you may not want emails from them mixed in with your personal emails from other sources. Therefore you should get yourself a separate email address from Gmail which is the best one for business use. Most companies only accept a Gmail address.
Domain and Autoresponder: These are the two most important tools you will need to set up your business online and the cost is quite reasonable. A domain allows you to create your own website to promote your product and can cost $6 to $10 per month. An autoresponder allows you to build a list of customer’s email addresses and email them at the click of the button. An autoresponder will cost you a monthly fee of around $20 and contains everything you need to build your list.
Create a Planner: You will find running your business so much easier if you take the time to write down what you plan to do with your business and set a daily, weekly and monthly task list. For example, you may decide to promote your business with the traffic exchanges on a daily basis and do some research on new products and advertising resources at weekends. You may write down what you are willing to spend on your business and stick to that budget so you don’t end up with huge credit card debts.
In order to make money online you will need a product to sell or a service to offer. You may have access to a supplier of items that you can sell at a higher price or you may be able to offer your own creations such as jewelry or clothes. Information products can be created in the form of videos and books on a variety of subjects such as learning to play the guitar or how to bake cakes. If you don’t have a product then you can sell other people’s products and earn a commission from them. This is called “affiliate marketing” and it is the easiest way to start a home business.
You can earn a good income with affiliate marketing and there are many products you can sell just by looking at websites such as Clickbank where people list their products with their offer of commission from each sale that you make for them. Some companies have multiple products and offer a special website known as an “affiliate website” which you (as an affiliate) can use to promote their products. They give you a personal username so they know that the sale has come from you. Some companies even provide extra resources such as banner and text ads as well as training on how to promote them.
A company can take you on as an affiliate and pay you a commission for each sale you make but you are limited to how many people you can reach. You will need to spend a lot of money on advertising to keep getting the sales and your business will take a long time to grow. But the good news is that you can build a team of affiliates under you and get paid bonuses from any sales they make. You may also get paid a percentage of any sales they make. Your team can recruit affiliates under them and build their own teams and you can earn from them. This concept is known as “network marketing”.
Network Marketing allows you to build a team of thousands of affiliates just like you who go out and makes sales for the company and earn their own commission. Considering the money you can earn from sponsoring bonuses and percentages of your team sales you can make thousands of dollars very easily, even if you don’t make many sales yourself. Companies do this to encourage you to bring them new affiliates in to sell their products so it’s a win-win situation for both of you.
These affiliates become part of your team and are known as your downline. They may buy products themselves and so you can earn commission from their purchases as well. For an example let us assume that your downline affiliate gained a sale of $20 from their customer. Their percentage could be $5 for them and $15 for the company. As that person is someone that you personally referred as an affiliate the company would offer you a percentage of their own $15. So for example the company’s commission could be $13, $5 for your team member and $2 for you as their sponsor.
When you recruit people into your downline you automatically become their Sponsor. As their sponsor your role is to help them get started and to train and advise them on their new business. As your new member they may have a few questions and would appreciate your help and guidance. You can build a team of affiliates and profit from their efforts. They can also do the same. And the good news for you is that the new affiliates are still part of your team, even if you didn’t recruit them. When your downline teams have built their own teams then it becomes a network. One big team working together.
